Christmas 2025 “Time of Magic and Memories”

As we look forward to the magic of Christmas, memories of the past seem to come back in all we do. Certain special ornaments adorn the tree, we decorate with items that recall past times with family and friends, we embrace those with us today, and we remember those we will miss. It is a time of magic in many ways, built on the fond memories we hold dear.

The joy of connecting is in itself a part of this time of year. It might be a card to send well wishes, a text with a holiday emoji, or a call to see who has been naughty or nice! All of these serve to help us remember a person or memory captured in time.

Jan and I think back to our grandparents, our parents, and now our children and family, sharing pictures or films, sitting quietly, or bringing a smile or laugh. It’s amazing how each could generate a story that might otherwise be lost in life’s journey.

As another year comes to a close, trying to “remember when” is a little harder, as we are also thankful for the new moments and memories in our lives.

We came across this video of Alan Jackson, who seemed to lead us through a lifetime of memories, and we found ourselves “remembering when.”

Many of you have graced our journey and enriched our lives. We are blessed.
